The Gear Pump is a type of positive displacement pump that operates by using meshing gears to transfer fluid from the inlet to the outlet. The Pump consists of two interlocking gears, one driving gear and one driven gear, which rotate inside a tight-fitting housing. As the gears turn, they create a sealed chamber between the gear teeth and the pump housing, causing the fluid to be drawn in and forced out as the gears rotate.
