Description: The Brake Ring is a part of the braking system in a final drive motor. The brake ring is mounted on the planetary gear set and is engaged by the brake piston to slow or stop the rotation of the final drive motor. When the brake piston is engaged, it presses against the Belleville washer, which in turn applies pressure to the brake disks. It is made from high-strength steel.
