Description: The power drive sprocket is a component of the engine's timing system. Its main function is to transfer power from the crankshaft to the timing chain which in turn drives the camshaft(s). The camshaft(s) then control the opening and closing of the engine's valves, which allow air and fuel to enter the combustion chamber and exhaust gases to exit.
