Description: A Valve Spring Retainer is a component of an engine's Valve train System. It is a small metal piece that sits on top of the Valve Spring and holds the spring and valve assembly together in the cylinder head. The Retainer is designed to keep the spring in place, preventing it from moving around and causing damage to the engine. The Retainer helps in opening and closing the valve assembly. It is machined to fit precisely into the valve assembly. The Retainer is held in place by a retainer lock and the valve. Attributes: • Provided with a flange of diameter 1.875" to lock the spring. • Manufactured from steel which provides high strength, wear resistance and withstands high temperature and pressure. • Hardened to Rockwell depth of case 0.15-0.4mm with 15N force 85MIN to increase the toughness.
