367-3245: Steering Piston Pump

The Piston Pump is driven by the engine and is responsible for pressurizing the power steering fluid. The pressurized fluid is then directed to the steering gear or rack to assist in the movement of the steering components. Attributes: • Slipper valve with 100 litters • Precise control of fluid flow • More power assistance to steer heavy vehicles Applications: This Piston Pump is used to rotate the shaft inside of the pump and drives a swash plate. The swash plate is angled which causes pistons to move on top and boom of cylinders then hydraulic fluid is drawn into the cylinders from reservoirs. The pressurized fluid helps to move the steering linkage, making it easier for the driver to turn the wheels.
