Description: An Aftercooler Core is a device used to cool the compressed air that flows from the turbocharger or supercharger to the engine's combustion chamber. It typically comprises a series of tubes or passages through which the compressed air flows. The purpose of the Cooler is to increase the density of the air, which improves engine performance by allowing more air and fuel to be burned per cycle. Attributes: • Estimated internal volume of the cooler is 29 liters. • Helps to protect the engine from damage caused by excessive heat and pressure. Applications: An Aftercooler Core acts as a heat exchanger in an engine's forced induction unit, mostly used in Cat 824, 824K, 834, and 834K Wheel Type Tractors, 825, 825K, 826, 826K, 836, and 836K Compactors, 834, 988 and 988K Wheel Loaders.
