Description: A Hammer Piston is a component of a hydraulic hammer that actuates the work tool. Attributes: Cat® Hammer Pistons have a longer design that helps to minimize recoil stress and hydraulic pulsation through the hammer. This results in dampened vibration which in turn protects the carrier and operator. Cat Hammer Pistons also feature optimum levels of impact energy as a result of matched weight and diameter to the work tools they actuate.
