4P-6038: Temperature Contactor

The Temperature Contactor is an electrically controlled switch that is actuated by an increase in the limited oil temperature in the engine. When the oil temperature exceeds a certain level, the contactor is activated, and it sends a signal to the engine control unit to take appropriate action that helps to prevent damage caused by excessive oil temperature. It includes a Pocket Sensor, which directly measures the oil temperature and the Strip Gauge is used to check the resistance of the pocket sensor and verify its accuracy.
