Description: A Valve Stem Seal is a component that helps to prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber. It is located at the top of the valve guide, and designed to fit tightly around the valve stem. The Valve Stem Seal also helps to maintain engine compression and proper engine performance. Attributes: • Withstand high temperatures and pressures. • Maintain a tight seal around the valve stem. Applications: A Valve Stem Seal acts as a barrier between the valve guide and the valve stem in an engine's cylinder head, mostly used in Cat 3608, C175-16, C175-20, and C32 Engine (Piston), 785D, 789D, 793, 793D, 793F, 794, 795F, 796, 797, 797B, 797F and 798 Truck (Incl Truck Tractors), C175-12, C175-16, and C175-20 Generator Set, D11T Track Type Tractor, and PR43C Locomotive.
