The Core is designed to maximize the surface area of the tubes, which allows for the efficient transfer of heat from the compressed air to the surrounding air or coolant. Attributes: • Helps to protect the engine from damage caused by excessive heat and pressure. • Increase the density of air entering the Engines, which allows for more fuel to be burned per cycle. Applications: An Aftercooler Core acts as a heat exchanger in an engine's forced induction unit, predominantly used in Cat D10N, D10R, and D10T Track Type Tractors.
