Description: A Pack Shim may also be used between the upper cap and the hitch body in a hitch assembly. Shim is a thin, flat, circular piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center that is used to distribute the load of a fastener, such as a bolt or a screw. A Shim can also be used as a spacer to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces. Attributes: • Protect against damage by distributing the load uniformly and reducing the tension on the fastener. • Provide high strength and wear resistance. • Reducing wear and damage on components can be achieved.
