Description: A Solid Dowel Pin is a cylindrical pin with holes drilled in both ends. It has a uniform diameter along its length with, chamfered edges. It is typically made from steel material to withstand the stresses and forces generated during operation. This pin is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in the frame of the equipment for securing the Boom. Fasteners are inserted in the holes of the pin to secure the pin to the frame. Attributes: • Provided with a chamfer angle of 30 degrees on both edges to prevent the pin from getting stuck or damaged in the hole • Coated with chrome with a thickness 0f 0.005mm, which offers good resistance against corrosion Applications: A Solid Dowel Pin is used to secure the boom with the frame preventing misalignments, this type of pin is mostly used in Cat 306 Excavators.
