Cat® Ground Strap are designed to protect people and equipment from electrical power spikes by connecting the component that connects the engine block to the chassis or negative battery terminal, allowing for the completion of the electrical circuit and, consequently, the operation of different vehicle systems. Ground Straps protects from unwanted electrical shocks and surges by rerouting electric currents to a safe Earth ground. The purpose of ground straps is to protect the operator and equipment by serving as a safe path to grounding a live current. Application: Ground straps are used to ground high amperage systems.
