A Selector Valve is responsible for directing the flow of Hydraulic fluid to different clutch packs and servos, enabling the selection of specific gears and controlling the shifting process. It is typically located within the Valve body of the Transmission and consists of a housing that contains multiple Valves and passages. The primary purpose of the Selector Valve is to determine which clutch pack or servo to engage or disengage, based on the desired gear selection.
