8E-8623: Hydrodynamic Torque Converter

A Hydrodynamic Torque Converter is consisting of three main parts, the impeller, the turbine, and the stator. These parts are housed within a sealed casing. The impeller is connected to the engine crankshaft, while the turbine is connected to the input shaft of the transmission. The stator is positioned between the impeller and the turbine. Attributes: • Can provide cooling and lubrication to its internal parts • Can absorb and dampen vibrations Applications: A Hydrodynamic Torque Converter is to transmit power from the engine to the transmission line.
