8N-2408: Retaining Clip

A Retaining Clip is a small metal ring that is used to hold two parts together. It is used in engine lifting to secure the engine to the lifting mechanism. An internal retaining clip is inserted into a groove in one of the parts being held together. The external retaining clip is pressed over the outside of the parts. Attributes: • Provide a positive connection between the component and the lifting sling • Manufactured to precise specifications and are built for durability, and reliability Applications: A Retaining Clip prevents the engine from slipping out of the sling during lifting.
