The Recovery Coolant Tank, also known as a coolant recovery reservoir or expansion tank, is a part of a cooling unit. From the coolant tank, the coolant and water spray will pass through the Lines. It provides a place for excess coolant to go when the engine is hot, and the coolant expands. The recovery coolant tanks have a fill line that indicates the proper level of coolant in the unit. The coolant tank is provided with inserts and these inserts can serve a range of purposes, such as preventing reducing emissions, or improving tank durability.
