316-4794: Governor Control Cable

The Governor control cable is a component of the vehicle's throttle control system. It is responsible for transmitting the driver's input from the accelerator pedal to the governor allowing the engine to increase or decrease its speed accordingly. It consists of a flexible metal wire encased in a protective outer sheath. One end of the governor control cable is connected to the control mechanism which senses and regulates the speed of the system. The other end of the cable connects to the actuator. Attributes: Withstand tension and bending without breaking. Prevents corrosion and ensures smooth operation. Applications: The Governor control cable controls the engine speed and vehicle acceleration. It is extensively used in Cat® 906H, 907H and 908H Wheel Loaders.
