3E-6240: Temperature Switch

The Temperature Switch is used in cooling units to maintain optimal operating temperatures. It is installed in the coolant circuit of engines. The temperature switch is connected to a sensor that detects the temperature of the coolant. When the temperature rises above a predetermined threshold, the switch activates, triggering a response to cool the unit down. This response can involve turning on radiator fans, activating water pumps, or engaging auxiliary cooling mechanisms. Attributes: • Activated when coolant reaches 65°C and deactivated when coolant reaches 57°C • Designed to resist reaction with oil, fuel, water, dust, salt, glycol, and engine cleaning solutions • Sealed to avoid electric hazards while operation and physical handling Applications: The Temperature Switch acts as a safety component that ensures efficient cooling performance.
