The Drum Gear Lock consists of a set of locking screws or bolts that are threaded into the hoist drive drum gear and the hoist drive shaft. When the locking screws or bolts are tightened, they clamp the hoist drive drum gear onto the hoist drive shaft, preventing it from rotating.
