A Grease Fitting is used to lubricate the steering cylinders in a machine. It is located on the end of the cylinder rod, where it is easily accessible. When the grease gun is attached, the ball valve is pushed open and grease can flow into the cylinder. The ball valve then closes to prevent grease from leaking out. Attributes: • Protects the steering cylinder from dirt and moisture • Designed to withstand the harsh operating conditions Applications: A Grease Fitting is used in the steering cylinder to prevent the lubricant from leaking out of the steering cylinder and improve the performance.
